i have a bmw 318is e30 with a e36 engine i have no spark

it sounds like it could be the ews system but would need to know more about the engine and stuff, what e36 engine is it? what year was the e36? are you using all the loom and ecu/ews from the e36?

Was the doner car for your engine equipped with EWS?
Youth is wasted on the young.
If its m50 (non ews) it could be the single fat RED wire that's on a block next to the relays on the loom. This has to go to the battery as it gives ecu power and without this the fuel pump will not prime and coils don't get spark!
I fed mine through the bulkhead and wondered why she would turn over but no spark and no fuel. Connected the culprit to battery + and vroom first time she fired up.
If its m52 then it could be as above ^,, ews ect
