It was, totally rust free, cambelt/water pump change, it had only done 15000 miles since 1990, ive had a couple of small electrical issues which ive had help with from Davet and HKF Rob on here

One of em was a non start issue, turned out i had put a terminal block back in the wrong way in the fuse box

Robbie HKf gonna hold my hand next time i work on my cars :D

Its in for a retest tomorrow and a local lad has left a deposit on it, the sneaky monkey is paying by paypal so the old woman wont find out :D

It sold via Ebay in the end, did you see our lads breadvan on there Lee, that sold to a six foot eight scummer.

M535i's rule. My 1st one was in red on a C plate with tan interior, fairly basic spec but it was a manual (has to be!) I bought it after my 323i (E30). Must say it was a different beast to learn to drift, if anything alot easier but in defence of the 323i that didnt have a slipper in it.

The old E28s as its been said do have some rust issues, mine was excellent underneath but a little on N/S front wing, very common and the sunroof used to lift at speed because of rust. I really did love the speed. It used to go something like this 1st, 2nd, national speed limit, 3rd. It may not have been spot on 70mph in 2nd but very close to it.

I had to sell it in the end because it was way to thirsty the way I drove it. Got it down to 8mpg. Scarey now a days, it was scarey then and that was about 12 years ago now. Bought a 131 Supermirafiori after that, another entertaining car but thats another story...

Alot of my mates had them. Back then my red one had about 80k on the clock and cost me approx £600. My mate Phil also had one. His was the bolloxs. It was BMWs press release car. Remember him showing me the auto express magazine (does that still exist?) that came with the car. It was black with black leather, dog leg box and every other option available. Even had a electric rear blind which I think are very rare, it was the only one I have ever seen.

He had some AC Schnitzers on it, I think thats what he sold it with, But at one point a set of 850 rims. I personally prefered it with the 850 rims, much better dish to them.

No doubt thats bored the pants off you all. I will stop dribbling now......

Haven't been on for a little while but seems this thread has got a few talking....

Unfortunately still searching the web for one and after this thread its become even harder, cause all of you lot have decided to buy one!!

The one off avantgarde is absolutely stunning....Was on for a bit of a while but was out of my budget. I think he's got another for sale at an even higher price, but is in concourse condition.

I am still looking and as soon as I find one I will let you know.
