i'm not sure interior wise tbh... atm my mind is focused on sourcing a breyton kit and giving it a respray... then will work the interior... i will probably change it to be honest... i really fancy red nappa in there.

this update will probably go down like a wet fart but what the hell....
had some steelies lying around that are going to be whacked on the car while i save for new wheels.... i thought i'd spice them up a bit by painting the lips.... but wanted something stand out and different and so went with this....

2 kawasaki green and 2 pink wheels... staggered (so green o/s/f, pink n/s/f and green n/s/r and pink o/s/r)
shun away

also thanks for the kind words kitch.... i think your more door is amazing... got a lot of manlove for it haha
no pics today but got my rot free tailgate put on now, unhooked the towbar and had to redo all the wiring in the rear thanks to whoever bodged it in... sorted my rear lights so now they work again and rewired the tailgate so i have power to the numberplate lights... hoping to get my sideskirts fitted and blended in tomorrow and will have pics to support the update tomorrow.

Right pic update time....
Most will know what happened to the car in recent weeks with someone targetting my car first with this...

and then coming back 4 days later and doing this...

but i won't let petty vandals ruin my project so swept it off into storage in a mates garage where we attacked the paint that was thrown onto the car... finding out it was only synthetic paint and so removing paint was quite easy...

then it was time to move it on to another mate's house to do some bits and pieces on it... so off it went (it's not really this low, just the gradient of the drive out of the garage... thought it looked slick
)

Upon getting it there i whipped the old rotten tailgate off and fitted it up with the new un damaged/unrotten tailgate (thanks to bmw-mad for this) and then had to reroute the wiring into it and also removing all the loom for the rear wiper as this has now been removed.

While at my previous job i quickly designed and knocked up these stickers as thought they were pretty cool/funny (excuse the boot being filled with junk... it's also a storage vehicle atm
n/s wing was looking a bit grotty at the bottom, so before i get round to fitting my breyton sideskirts, i thought i'd whip it off and give it a quick clean down and repair the grot... wing and bumper off...

wing repaired (thought i'd took before pics but now realise i hadn't
DOH!!!)

After refitting the car back together another friend turned up in his e30 cab (the lad whose house i was working on my car at also has an e30 (daveyb on here)) so thought we'd have a few quick snaps of the three e30s together....

i hate being parked with the three together as mine just looks like a sack of scrap
Daveyb's is in the middle of having a load of work done to it too and should have it painted up in the next few weeks... i personally haven't got the money to be spending it on respraying the whole tourer atm and so i'm considering buying some vinyl and wrapping the doors, boot and bonnet to look like the polizei cars like the 5series in this months PBMW

comments critisisms welcome

That's a shitter about the window and paint mate
. I like the kit you've ordered, subtle yet different. I wouldn't vynal wrap it personaly, I'd rather rattle can it white until I can afford a full respray. It's coming alonig though mate.

Front valance/splitter looks good, I'm not gone on the rear one but we'd all drive the same cars if we liked the same!

Right thought i'd try a little something different i haven't seen anyone else do yet on here (though i'm 100% sure someone somewhere has)
After discussions on here about what was better, black bumper strips or colour coded strips i thought to myself, you know what, sod it... i'll just get rid.... so off came the bumper and out came the strips....

I chopped the plastic up to cover the indicator holes and also the american spec holes on the side and tiger sealed them in... left them 24hours to set and then keyed up the areas to fibre glass them in....

Once dried i then begun to flat back the fibreglass....

unfortunatly at this time.... rain decided to stop play and so i will carry on tomorrow.
I'm expecting VERY mixed opinions on this... but alas... my car, my choice.... though i as always, welcome comments and critisisms

How hard is it to do the wrapping? Your not keeping it subtle with the green anywayThe_Haywood wrote:

you noticed the small print haha !!
it's not THAT difficult when you buythe right vinyl... if you're going to have a crack yourself i reccomend getting your vinyl from a firm called metamark and ordering from the M7 range of cast vinyl.... i'm experienced in wrapping vehicles and with the e30s flattish shapes i tried to be cocky and bought M4 range instead and i'll be honest i've found the doors hard to do
BTW did you get them decals dude??
and nope not subtle
i'll only be running this for a couple of months before the winter colour change

I was wondering what the blurry line was
No stickers yet as far as I know, I'm sure they will turn up eventually.
I'll be going with a respray for my car although vinyl looks like it would be a lot cheaper
I don't think there's any/many in Ireland that are at it though. Winter colour

I like the idea of this, but to pull it off you will need some nice dish and a perfect stance, otherwise it will look shit.
What are your plans for wheels and suspension?

80mm or 60mm all round won't look right and will look to low at the back. You need approx 80mm front and 50mm back, this wont be achieveable on bought shocks and springs. I would buy some good dampers and then do a diy coilover conversion using rally designs and faulkners. With this set up you can play with the stance until your happy.

atm i'm not too fussed on spending money on coilovers etc as plan is for around jan/feb time to have the car "bagged" that way can fiddle with the perfect height for each terrain so for now some springs will do
I'm not a track kinda guy or a sideways hooning kind of guy.... i like a nice cruiser which is why i bought the touring rather than the coupe or cab
... rolling in luxury with a more doors = more whores kind of attitude
