coils ok? They love to eat their coils.
I wouldn't worry about the clicking unless its very bad altogether as the S54s are normally quite noisey in that respect

Great... another thing to worry even more about and things to tend to before the engine goes into the car

I don't think it's the vanos. I've tried the screwdriver trick and the vanos sounds fine. If anything it's the shimms needing adjusting.

Been looking on you tube and the shim adjustment doesnt seem massively difficult. Just important to go slow and calculated.

Just wanted to say a big big thanks to a few zoners who have been more then helpful during this project.
These guys truly have the Zoner spirit and its fair to say my car would not be running without their help!
Glenn- for sorting my plenum out and answering a billion questions, lending me diagnostic equiptment and more!
Ajay- for lending me bits off his engine and helping work on my engine well into the early hours. Constantly on the phone chatting bout anything and everything to do with s54's
Danthe- helping sort my clutch & gearbox issues and answering yet another billion questions
Ian332sportis- Electrical Genius! Pure and simple. It would not start without this man.
WilsonE30- letting me leave my car outside his garage when I broke down in London!
These guys are what I consider true Zoners. You can most definately trust them and I assure you any dealings you have with them will go smoothly!
A BIG BIG THANKS!!!

CR24v??? Where's it all gone?? LOL
Im leaving the bumpers... i will at some point be getting all the black plastics off to sand them down t get rid of all the light scratches and paint them in some matt satin black.
Might tint the lights too.. I want it to stay a sleeper. I surprised some corsa drivers the other day
bless them, they were trying really hard, but when they caught up to me at the next set of traffic lights and saw me laughing my arse off think they realised it was quite original
