Hi guys

Im replacing my whole suspension kit next month on my convertible. Iv decided to go for a coil over kit. The main reason why im goin for this kit is so that i can adjust the hight at the rear to suit my sub boxes and hardtop, as it drops the car too much wen i have these in/on the car.

The kits that Im interested in are:

FK suspensin
FK High Sport Model no. FKBM101 (which is hight adjust only)Ԛ£534
FK Konig Sport Model no. FKKKBM101 (Which is hight and ride adjust)Ԛ£838
or
H&R
HR-29-577-2 (hight adjust only) Ԛ£759

I dnt want to spend to much on these kits approx Ԛ£700 max. Im realy intereted with the FK High sport kit. I was wondering if any of you guys out there as had any experience with these kits or any other?? and if these prices sound right??? Is th e30 zone shop selling any coil over kits??

Any response would be much appriciated.

there is a coil over kit H&R on the zone shop, from what I have seen posted, the FK stuff is not very well rated. Geeman had some fitted to his 318iS track slaag, but I don't know what his opinion of the stuff was.

I order an FK suspension kit for my Fiat Stilo and after 6 months, the product still hadnt arrived but they tool my money. In the end, I had to threaten the company with legal action to get a refund!

I would never risk buying FK goods.

If I remember rightly, the kit was purchased through BM World.

The H&R stuff is way way better than the FK stuff. I can easily sell this stuff if I want to but have chosen not to do so due to the quailty issues and serious availibilty issues.

I doubt you'll find a better price than the zone shop for the H&R coilovers.

I've been in Dale's car which had H&R coilovers and the ride quailty was superb and the way it took corners was insane. Top quality stuff.

Remember, your only going to do this once so a difference in price of Ԛ£100-Ԛ£200 doesnt really matter.

Get it wrong and you'll lose alot more money trying to flog 2nd hand suspension.

Something I have just learnt!

They front legs are on an exchange basis. A surcharge of Ԛ£345 is applicable.

This would be paid seperately and refunded once your front legs are sent back and are in good condition.

I have the FK ride and height adjustable coil-over. The kit itself is really good, but FK as a Company are crap. They took ages to send the kit over, then they sent the wrong one. After a million calls and emails, they finally sent the correct ones. I went to adjust my ride height over the weekend and the tools they sent me are not correct. You have 2 hook things to put around 2 rings on the kit. One should be bigger than the other as the 2 rings you need to adjust are different sizes, but they sent me 2 of the same hooks, so we had to take the whole bloody thing off the car. My mate that i bought the kit from doesnt deal with them anymore and there are lots of Companies who are dropping them too, so judge for yourself. :(
