Has anyone managed to wire up angel eyes so the dipped beam bulbs stay off when the side lights are on?
Its the only thing letting them down,
I was thinking about having a seperate switch but then the rears wont come on!

i have noticed on different cars the side lights are different
on some you put the sidelights on and the elipsoid lights up too
but on mine and others i have seen its just the little light at the top of the lamp that lights up
so i just wired the the light boxes for the Angel eyes to run direct from the sidelight bulb wires
if you know what i mean

I was hoping you wernt going to say that
The angels in question have been placed in the origional lamps, wired into the side light plugs with side lights removed.
They look just like yours with lights on and keys out, but as soon as the ignition is on the dipped come on dim, (in the small centre lens of the dipped beam lamps) if you know what i mean

I think what you ae re on about is all down to the dim-dip relay. If you want this functionality removed you need to locate the relay and disconnect it. It's located at the front of the engine bay on the near side, behind the headlamp, fitted onto the end of the wing. The only problem with disconnecting this that you might find is that the dipped beam check light will show whenever you put your lights on...

I beleive the sidelight bulbs are seperate bulbs, yes? If so, just remove them!
Everything else should still work fine. Its still perfectly legal aswell.

as said some lights are different, some have a resistor next to the headlights that light the driving light bulb when side lights are on, some just have the small bulbs in the top. i would imajine you could disconnect these resistors and the dim bulb thing would not happen, i have personally not seen one but try pm to brianmoore as he has answered questions about this dip-beam question before.
