A car like this is my dream car - there is no E30, I think, that is more perfect than the B6S.
I also like your choice of cars, much more special than spending a bunch on a 645 or something

It'll be at the Alpina meet at the beginning of June (weather permitting)and if I can convince 'er indors it'll also go to Buchloe in July. If we get some nice weather and it coincides with a zone event (and I'm not in France etc etc with the excuses), I'll make sure it comes along
Thanks for the nice comments, I'm luving it!!!

I thought, with the interface box you could put the Ipod on the 9835R via the AI Net interface, not looked into it though so may not be. Still you can get 80 - 120 mp3 tracks on a CD which reduces the number of items carried

I should be able to do Brooklands ok. I'll go check that meet out in a mo. Turbo Capri being stripped for a bare metal respray at the moment so won't be ready plus a gearbox rebuild

(the torque stuffs it every 10k),
but this little blighter is a hoot.
It'll be the Alpina that goes to Brookland though.

It only goes out when the weather is good and then its usually longer journeys (so you won't see it in the market square!) and it never gets left where I cant see it unless its secure or among similarly interesting vehicles.
Still, keep your eyes peeled, you are bound to spot it one day.

Dude your car is crap i'm afraid. The colour is wrong, the wheels are wrong, and it's a disgrace to E30's. Luckily i like you so i'm willing to take her off your hands for free. I'm such a nice man that i'm even willing to give you my 1.4 CL Auto Polo in return. Dont take too long thinking about it cause i might change my mind
Seriously though. If it's not wide with a massive kit, massive wheels and massive ICE, then im usually not too keen, but your car is very sexy indeed. Even I "The great Bootyman" would leave it as it is without changing a single thing so you know you're onto a winner there

Chers bootyman. The job you have done on yours is a serious piece of work. The interior trim I think is absolutely the nuts. I'm thinking of putting some S3 recaros in my Oettinger Bora and would need to retrim either them, or the rest to match. Where did you get your retrim done.

A friend of mine does trimming for a living. He's based in Southampton (Just a 2 man operation from his double garage at the back of his house) but they are s#it hot. The details in the stiching is amazing and they price is even more amazing. I approached Carisma Automotive before i went to him and they wanted around Ԛ£15k. I then spoke to my mate and i got everything trimmed including my hardtop for just over Ԛ£5k.
Gosh I've just noticed your plate. It must have cost you a bomb, but it looks the nuts

Kelson wrote:Thanks chaps. Nice comments and yes that is my gaff in the back ground and yes the plate is pukka (PM response). Had several questions regarding the screen also. Basically, I fabricated it myself to meet my self imposed disipline to only apply mods to the car that would not involve altering/drilling/cutting any of the original parts.
To get the screen in just needed the removal of the ash tray, and then the fabrication of two bits, the screen mount and the bit that coves where the ash tray sat and in fact holds the bottom of the screen mount in place.
I am in the process of adding the Alpine screen surround to finish it off better so once I have done it, I will also know up some diagrams on Autocad so if any of you want to do something similar, I'll have some diagrams to help. PM me if/when you are interested.
hi what size screen is it mate?

Its an Alpine TME770 touch screen which is 6.5" wide. here is a link to Alpine giving a bit more info on its dimensions
http://www.alpine-europe.com/content/en ... ONITOR.htm
Still not yet done the diagram. Car is currently away having a new from bumper/fog light fitted after an altercation with a hare, so I cannot actually go and measure it properly

Man that car is simply awesome nad that is an understatement.
I can kick the management of BMW South Africa for depriving us of getting the E30 M3.

Mr Kelson, you HAVE to come to the Guildford meet on March 8th. If you insist I will come with you as a passenger, I live near you anyway. OH MY GOD I WANT YOUR CAR.....
