apparently this is a common area for leaks, mine leaks there, i think the oil return channel is right near the front of the head and the headgaskets are well known for not getting a brilliant seal around that area.Think it is just a case of some instant gasket stuff being applied to that area when fitting a new headgasket.
Am gonna tackle this when I do the headgasket on mine, currently it continues to behave since pouring some additive into the cooling system about 3 or 4 months ago and it is still doing OK.

I am not saying that this is the cause on yours but I heard in this forum, I believe oilman will tell you better, that if you change from mineral to synth oil it tends to leak, could this be the cause on yours ?

They all do that, Sir.koos wrote:Hey chaps, got a bit of a oil leak and i'm pretty sure its coming from the head gasket, right at the front right corner. Has anyone ever had or seen this? I have not.
Take it this is an M20 we're talking about. Just one of many places they leak.
