It was more than a red top Mick, it was down on the sheet as 2500cc, I think Lee reckoned it had some sort of V6 donk up front

that would explain his times.

Did the Cav and the Vectra not come with a v6 donk?

Think ive got past the LHD trait of turning left during an enthusiastic gearchange now

I was telling Steve how i was guilt tripped into going out with the wife and my little boy to a bbq instead of this and the first thing i see on the forum is a firetruck doing a wheelie! My reaction to the wife was more or less "see what you made me miss!!"

Take it my last run doesnt have a 0-60 on it? the 60ft time is 9 secs..

Also you can tell :)your boss that a 2 litre BMW 6pot was 0.4 sec slower than his old lump of pig iron

Yeah wouldnt have made any difference to the score board though looking at that, I did notice the sheet on the day said I got fastest reaction time 0.2 but it says different there.

The fastest reaction time you can generally run is 0.50, any quicker and you generally get a red light I believe.

In RWYB we just get all the ambers come on and then the green, the general rule is you go as soon as the ambers come on.

In bracket racing, the ambers count down one at a time.

York dragstrip is so underated I can't believe this meet hasn't got more victims lined up,
I enjoy it more than the pod lots of council action and an awesome day out for any petrol head

Spot on Steve

It is totally lacking in development & facilities, but the atmosphere and easy going nature of the place are it's best assets. A good variety of metal turns out.

Be good to have another turnout next Bank Holiday.
