hi any one fitted a screen in they e30, i want to fit one where the ash tray goes. already taken it out and working on a panel to take one now, just wondering if anyone had any problems doing the same. xbox is getting fitted this weekend hopefully then the screen next week on payday.

ive changed mine round a bit to how you guys want but heres a lil idea that worked for me! (will post pics when i can find my camera)

i mounted my flip face headunit (sony) where the ashtray goes in that little compartmant (and i kept the ashtray in)

then i got a smaller steering wheel and mount the fold out screen where the headunit normally goes.

it works fine and can see the screen perfectly! will post pics maybe tomoz after i search for my camera

You can use a heater panel from a LH motor to give extra clearance for big screens etc
