Only just saw your comment Dezzy thanx
Ok finally the time came for my "loose rear end" to get tightened up!
lol
what job to do! id defo never want to do that again tbh!
From seized handbrake cables to seized on the bolt bushes i had the lot!
DEFINANTLY worth the hassle though as it now drives like a dream! All BMW bushes used and New M3 control arm bushes to go on the front once lowered
heres some pics of the mayhem!

anyone seen a bush half hanging out before??!!

This is my main man Richard!! Couldn't have done it without him! Dont find many good people around these days..defo one of them right there!

Fresh bushes

Also gave the rear A.R.B a rub down and spray while it was down..wanted to do the same for the whole rear end but time was against me as usual so hopefully a project for the near future!

And of course the mandatory clean finished car at the end

will it still bolt straight on without having to adjust the prop length?leeparkes wrote:Large case has 8 bolts holding the back plate on, small case has 6
May sound stupid but whats the benefits apart from a slight weight reduction?

Large case diffs are stronger, Gareth blew a small case diff to bits with his M30
iirc the prop does have to be adjusted slightly to swap between the two.

Good luck Rav! its WELL worth it but jus prepare yourself for what your going to have to go through..dont know about yours but im sure most of the rear end on mine hasnt been touched in a VERY long time! the handbrake cable was the worst! wouldnt come out of the hub! had to get the whole arm on the bench...take the 2 14mm bolts out of the holder then give it one almight clout with a punch! just about came out!

It's not "Harsh" at all on polys with 16" Alpinas on the cab.
I think you have to try it first rather than reading all the hype of the OEM "Cap" guys.
