The power steering on my E30 is very light, is there any way to weight the steering so it feels a little more stable at high speeds

E30 power steering is positively heavy compared with more modern stuff.
Check your front tracking carefully. Aim for 1.5 - 2.0mm toe in.

also maybe check the pas belt is good or worn/loose tight, only £10 for new pas and alternator belts and a 15 min job

also if you have just bought this check the tire pressures. ive had 8 e30s but when i bought my most recent one the drive home was terrifying, steering felt dangerously light.

next day i checked the tire pressures...........50psi in one front and 46 in the other!!! FAR too high. reduced to the correct pressures and it felt so much more stable and steering weight felt normal!!
