whilst out enjoying the north east coast i was stopped by a traffic cop for alleged illegal number plates

those reg plates are German and not legal on british roads.

after digging through 3 books he said that they need a kite mark,i said they have this mark on them so off he goes to check .


not saying anything on his return he starts to fumble through his books of law again,he he.

then requests another traffic car to the scene of the crime.


the other cop told him they were fine as the kite mark is there.


he then requested that i leave his car and continue on my journey

i dont have any kite, or any opther mark on mine..just totaly plain plates with pressed german font, had the rozzers behind me a couple of times latley and not had a pull , spose its just doen to luck and a jobsoworth, il play dumb and say its a classic car and they were on since i purchased, and like i have before when pulled in the car or my escort..wind up with the copper talking about condition of the car etc and try n blag it

i got fined for having german font pressed plates on my last e30. the coppers first words to me after he pulled me up were 'do you speak much german'. My reply was 'ja ich weiß'

he then said 'dont get funny with me, get in the back of the police car'

after me losing my temper and arguing the toss i got a fixed penalty for it.

i'll try and get a pic of the required markings but in short in the bottm right corner i have BS ----- and under that Dubmiester .

so bs number and supplier details
