Great photos, still not a big fan of the Z3M, it just looks a bit like a couple of cars stuck together.

Both very nice cars and great photography. A polorising filter would make them look better again

Cheers guys.
I have just started with this photography lark. What would a polarising filter do?
The paint work on the Z3M is amazing.

Great quality pics and the M3 looks stunning.
Z3M however still looks like something out of wacky races

Gary/Kieran, a polarising filter will enhance contrast and can cut down on reflections by blocking out some of the light depending on the direction of the light/reflection. I could go into depth but here is a better explanation.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polarizing ... otography)
Basically though, it can cut down reflections and enhance contrast when used in the right way and the right circumstances, but will make images darker (assuming all camera exposures etc are set the same) as it does block some of the light from passing through the lens by the nature of how it works, so in low light conditions, then it can some times increase the shutter speed or the aperture settings so that you might not get the desired results you were looking for in order to get the shot correctly exposed.

Cheers Chris.
On the pics with the water fall I used an ND filter so as to lengthen the shutter speed so as to make the water "milky" looking.
Kieran.....When I first started this, which was only at Christmas as the camera was a present, I was much like you, however I was put onto this website and its quite good for tips etc.

I really do need to start taking more pictures and ideally taking shots like yours with my sport and m3.
I got a Nikon D90 in the new year and I'm slowly wading through
OT - I was out in your old E39 touring this afternoon

Yes and no, I bought it for my father in law to pull his caravan.
It's still going strong, I've just replaced the steering wheel and the wood trim
I think he's had it 2 years now, I bought it off Simon
