This one was unavoidable and I crawled over it holding up all the traffic and it still scratched.MurphyE30 wrote:
cheers mate
lower valance wont be hit by speed bumps, i tend to avoid them! and take caution when i do meet with them
I have a silly drop at the front of mine though, think it's 60mm and only 15 bbs. I have plans to get bigger wheels and/or raise the suspension to stop it happening again
What drop have you got on your?

Been a busy weekend so not had a chance to get on here, but as you can see my car was handed over to Craig again for some more work
Last week Craig fit my LSD to replace the original small case diff (which was ruined and only fit for the bin
)
it has totaly transformed the car.

Well on Friday night I left the car with Craig to take in to work on Saturday and as you can see from the pics he brought it back with a new additon to the engeine bay
Looks Fantastic and sounds great
Kudos to Craig & Co! to say the least these lads are dedicated, they worked through the night till early hours sunday morning to get the job completed for me. More than happy with the work and service. Highly recomended
I will upload some pics later
Did you get any pics of the work on the caddy along the way Craig?

Hey Murphy your your cab is looking to tasty!Lol

They don't make bm's like this anymore!..They should.

loving this car, funny thing is my mate in Plymouth almost bought this car about a year ago (well actually he was going to do a swap on it with his e34) but he decided aganist it as he didnt like the wind noise (nes never owned any cabrio before)....................hes kicking himself now hes seen these pics of how its been transformed.
Thanks for the comments lads
Nothing realy to update at the minute, she hasnt been running very well lately and was getting sickened by it to be honest. All running sweet now though.
With having a harsh banging and jolting when the diff was put under strain what i thought was the centre bearing being gone from help on here turned out to be the diff hanging on by a thread or two
somehow two bolts had dissapeared and the other two were near the end of there threads. so had a lucky escape there.
Bought a few bits and bobs to try and tidy up the interior abit. a fresh carpet to dye black and fit, leather handbrake grip and leather handbrake gaitor, replacement handbrake console and rear ashtray.
Also got some Smoked headlights and Head light wash wiper kit to go on. And will be recieving a set of Borbet A's and a z3 short shifter next week
On removing my headlights i was greeted with thoroughly Rotten adjusters and 90% of grommits smashed. so i gave in and bought new ones from the dealers and was rudely awakened with the price of £131.90
one less thing to replace though i guess
Shes crying out for a Re trim and a new Hood but both of those being around the 1k mark will have to wait till towards the end of the year i think. Still plenty on the to do list but all in good time
no progress pics yet but heres a few pics from last week

will get some up once done though
Borbets arrived on friday along with a z3 short shifter (Thanks Tony
)
Decided to trial fit them to see if there was any clearance issues with havin the 60/40 drop. i expected the front would cause me problems but it turns out the rear is where im having problems. the passenger rear arch is catching all the time and alot when cornering.
i have since replaced the shocks on the rear for some stiffer ones and still having the trouble with the passenger rear
Any ideas?
they will be coming off for refurb sonon as i find a set of steels to chuck on while there away, heres a few pics
I am unsure on what colour shceme to go for, keep the black centre, anthracite centre, silver centre or maybe neon blue?
opinions welcome
