For sale section

Is it me or is the for sale section basically come to a grinding halt three posts of new items a day, it used to be 30 plus.

Are people posting else where or something.

it slowed down a bit i think, wait till the rain and snow comes over and few people spank their cars, then they may have to break them for parts!!
my mate use to be a bmw merc and porche breaker and every xmas and new year he would stock up for this reason and every summer it dries up!!!

Replies are disabled in the for sale section. Something to do with arguments developing.

you cant reply, ofter all that hoo haa with the seats i was selling only adam30 and the moderators can reply. too many comments about the items for sale. i was getting a bit of stick and its caused some arguments.

I think the point is that someone places an ad, and then people PM or Email them if they are interested - no pointless postings or arguments.

Same sort of thing on the E36coupe forum (and others) and it seems to work well.

I agree, i think ebay will see a rise in e30 parts for sale.

its fairly well known since that the classifieds was disabled the forum has droped like a stone. never mind......

when trying to find out what the parts condition etc, is its now been drawn out by 10 times time wise, i agree i think ebay will get more items from here, and links posted to get attention.

Could the for sale section not return back the way it was but more strictly monitored

I dont see why the replies being blocked should make any difference. If people are interested in the goods, then they can just as easily PM or email the seller as post a reply like they used to. As someone said, this method has been used successfully on other forums and those that have been around here long enough know only too well how many arguements and pointless posts resulted from replies to sale items.

Does ebay have an open forum to discuss sale items? Does Autotrader or Exchange & Mart? Does your local paper have a facility to slag off people because you believe they're asking too much for a car up for sale or to ask pointless questions about the goods? NO! So why should the E30Zone be any different?

What's the big problem? This has been discussed and discussed again.

i agree, as i always stated in my ads, "pls pm if you are interested" items for sale are just that, not a general discusion. we all have our opinions and they are often taken the wrong way and some people get upset eg. the black 325i with m/sport kit you'd remember pete!! and again with my seats, i took a lot of shit for asking for a Ԛ£1000 for 2 seats, i just rolled along with it. could have sold them but didnt in the end, money i needed came from another source. but the day i posted the add i knew i'd get silly coments and one hell of a rection. I think they way its set up now is spot on. you want it, pm them and it deal done privately. why wash your laundry in public.
