Better but the amps are still the weak link.

I always say, good amplifers + cheap speakers. I've been there afew times and bought 3x£330 subwoofers, but my best systems used £50 JBL subs (4 of them ) and a £900 amp.

the JBL subs shift some fucking air, i'm planning on using a couple of their 12's with a JL 1000/1v2 in the e39

the amps they have in the deals are better than the Juice ones, thats for sure

true, but jbl amps aren't that good either. I remember reading reviews about them, and it wasn't good. IMO jbl are only good for subwoofers.

OP should buy a good 4 channel Rockford amp from eBay and one jbl 12" sub, then build a ported box for it.

Have a look through the classifieds on talkaudio and grab some second hand bits!!!

I've picked up some very expensive gear for not a lot of cash!!

The old JBL 12's - I got some unused boxed ones off ebay for £30 a pop - quality!!!

Even picked up an old sub box for one from a local car audio place for £20!! Easier and prob cheaper than making one!!

I've got some nice amps cheap through there and ebay before too!!! Bargains galore if you keep your eyes peeled!!

also looks good in an e30 boot with the carpet, and sounds decent, built in amp with controls on the box, aqnd removable, no bolt in and amp etc

matched with 4x vive slick 50`s speakers , all sounds decent for the money ,its not going to win any competitions, but its a nice sound for the money , never had the sub full bore on the controls, so theres plenty of bass there if your that way inclined
