Sounds like Anthracite grey

Easiest thing is ring a main dealer with your chassis number and they could tell you the original spec trim code.

A lot of trim parts are no longer available, you can ask the parts for a number, even try a post on the Cotswold BMW section on here they may be able to help.

Not sure if this will help but I have some seats from E-bay in mine Silver Grey spec code 0270

The originals are Anthracite grey spec code 0269

You will be suprised at just what is still available from the warehouse in Germany.

As pointed out,try to get the original trim spec via your VIN,enter it on this site... http://www.realoem.com/bmw/ ....for the part number and see what the stealer can come up with.

I was able to buy Neon Green cloth seat backrest covers, but not cushion covers, about 18 months back, for example.

Is this what you need ?

Suitable for 1988-1989(?) Model year comfort seats, 6 cylinder trim ( the 4 cylinder cars have a pattern that runs the other way ) - Grey cloth with black vinyl base.

Never been fitted and includes the original dealer invoice.

Its mine, on ebay at present with a £40 start price - PM me if its what you need.
