A stab in the dark but.... has yours been fitted with a short shift at any time?

If so, the linkage between the shifter and the g'box can be very close to the prop which is why a slight bend in this linkage is necessary.

It may be that your prop bearing or guibo is starting to wear out and the extra movement in the prop has caused it to start hitting the linkage...

See the last two pictures on this page:

Also sounds like your rubber donut bushing failing, you need to get underneath and remove the exhaust heat shield and give the prop a wiggle and check the donut - in between prop and gearbox - if it has bits of rubber missing then replace, requires exhaust partially off, no need to change the prop, just be careful when you split it to put back in same spline. Also worth to change centre bearing while it's up and exhaust is off.

318 prop wil not fit at you have the 260box and 6 cylinders.

you need a 325 prop (i think even the 320 wil not fit due to the 320 having the 240 box - but could be worng on this)

Hang on a minute so this all started after you did some work on the car? I suggest you go over what you did and double check everything you did.
