fairly

considering its the only chip for the IS without remapping or stand alone fuel its worth it

i cant say i noticed a huge difference, more repsonsive from 3000 revs on rather than 4000 an more torque

also piece of piss to fit

apparnetly there is gains tho

you have to remember when they give gains its usually in conjunction with a lot of other mods to engine and with car at peak condition

id say 10-15 is optimistic ish

deffo worth investing tho mate dont get me wrong

Personally I found it made a noticeable difference - I was well pleased, anyway.

Highly recommended.

If I could be bothered to spend the money then I'd go and back to back test one of the iS chips on a rolling road. I doubt that you'd gain more than 5BHP if anything.

This is a proven entity and having just spoken to jay he will give a full refund to anyone who does a before and after with genuine gains less than 10hp.

A fella over here bought one and had his on the rollers before and after it was fitted. She was putting out 141bhp before and 154bhp after, I've seen the print outs and the test was done by a reputable company.

For 75 quid I reckon they're well worth a try

For Ԛ£75 they are a rip off, reason i say this as mine cost Ԛ£35 all in just over a year ago, and I doubt inflation is a factor, more like ever growing greediness, and if/when you get a refund expect to wait a couple of months, I know I did for a replacement chip as the first one made my car overfuel so bad it wouldn't drive!

Really? You ought to give Superchips a ring and see if they'll do a rechip for Ԛ£75.
I've had one of the Viper chips and it was excellent. It's not so much about outright power gains but how the car feels.

By "genuine gain of 10BHP" I assume that you refer to the peak power figure....I have seen some Vauxhall tuners claim that +1 BHP at 3000rpm, and +1 BHP at 3500rpm etc adds up to 10BHP.

I propose a different solution... I book a rolling road for a set of power runs, I am lent a chip to try and if it adds 10BHP then I will buy it. If it really does add around 10BHP on a set of 3 before and 3 after runs then I'll be telling everyone.

Jimbob the tightarse who thinks seventy five pounds is a lot for a chip
You paid thirty five pounds then got a new chip sent and a refund yet you still complain that Jay is the devil, you make me laugh.

What I mean is, why start charging another Ԛ£30 when the demand is on the increase rather than decrease? Services like this are for the enthusiast and I'm sure he was still making plenty of money at Ԛ£35 a chip.

What made me laugh was when I was selling mine as I no longer had an M42, someone offered me my paying price because of the price increase on ebay.

If you look at my first post I don't say my replacement chip was bad, and I didn't suggest an alternative, I was merely sharing my opinion on the poor service I received (which I had to do a LOT of complaining until receiving acknowledgement at least).

I'd say if 6 or 7bhp was proven then it's worth it - bhp per Ԛ£Ã”šÃ‚£, but why the hell bother with stupid power claims? It just aint gonna happen, at least provide the current setup of the tested car.

Where the hell did I get a refund from as well mate? You got shares in him and know his books or something? I got a replacement chip after about 3-4 months of heavy complaining, my car wouldn't even make it off my drive with the 1st chip.
