Re the "Raced in America" bit - if its that rare and that special there will be pictures of it somewhere. How does he know about the cars supposed special history ? Is it because the previous owner told him so or does he have a history file with the car to back it up ?

pretty sure it has, its hard to try and recall al details, its definatly an m5 and probably a gen acs one, (how many would of been produced ?) it is a nice car and a nice example in great condition, which in my eyes is good enough, its all the other crap that does my head in listening to him go on about and taints is, hes just one of them ya know, i bought a £65 rpm strut brace for mine, looks nice does a good job, 1st thing he says "£65 ? hahahah my strut brace was £400 " ....im like so my cars not an m5 is itsnakebrain wrote:With the arches yeah? There's a business opportunity in this. Text him saying you know someone who's got a spare set of M5 window switches for only £150. If he goes for that, work up to the hard-to-find M5 pedal rubbers at a mere £500 for the set....

was chatting to him thursday night, which is always a bit "yaaawn" when hes had a few to drink
cars still not back
he seems to think its 1 of 5 ever made and hand built, and the last one around, although he says its just what the prev owner told him, and hes like me to help him find out ?
i said (which i think is the case?) all them m5 were hand built ?
cant really remember it all, but some bits he was saying (i have no idea if thats standard?)
its got twin 50s on each piston ?
theres some sort of problem with the way they are firing up and sequence or something like that ? i think, is what he said
hes still adamant it was raced in america ?
and its a 3.6 , not the 3.7 ? , were they 3.6 or 3.7 ?
i dont think he really knows what ac schnitzer is, and that they are rare anyway, but still done a few
has anyone got any idea how many ac schitzer m5 would of been produced ?
ive tried googling but cant seem to find out much info on them

yes mate she is, im a bit amused if people seem to think its not or im ona wind up, all im doing is asking for a bit of info, after listening to him drone on about it, its a very nice car make no mistake, im just trying to find out some schnitzer info, do you know much about em chris ? when its back at his gaff il give you a textspook wrote:Is this turd in Emsworth, i can do the custard test.
hes not the type of bloke whos internet or even mobile phone friendly, hes 60 odd and likes a drink and can be annoying, he said hel pop up the hill with it chris as he doesnt know a great deal about it , like i said..next time shes out the front il snap some pics, i know hes ploughed a lot of money in to it, the place who done the paint job (ad williams) in emsworth, cost a fortune for their work i know that much, a mate of mine whos a mechanic and got a tech 2 sport has done some work on it,but not seen him about for a while to ask
he harps on about the bhp and 1 of 5, and all this schizzle..i just wanna try n find out a bit about it, or how many schnitzers were made etc
im pretty sure he said it had twin 50s on each piston, is that possible or impossible ? ie could that have anything to do with the bhp claims if the engines had mods ? , or is that total nonsense ?

his words are like...
"its 380 now, and can go to 620 , but i think il take it to around 500 to be safe and not go too high
hes still adamant it was raced in america, the other day when i bumped in to him outside, he said mine was looking nice, comkmented on the plates etc, i said yes german font pressed plates, but im getting original dealer replica set made up, ...he said im not sure what mine was, as it came from germany to america, before here

This might have been covered before, but is it a left hooker? If it's RHD then dreams of a German/American previous life seem a teensy bit unlikely.
