Injectors

My M52 came from a 5 series but I also have a complete e36 328 loom with injectors. Was going to give 1set of injectors to a mate but looking at them they are different and wondering which ones I should use.

What I have is:
Green tip injectors - part no 028 0 150 415
Yellow/brown-ish tipped injectors - 280 150 792

The green ones look to have 4 little holes where as the yellow/brown ones don't.

My mate wants them for his m20, 4 pindle 19lb is what he's after, I just want the best ones for my m52 with a m50 inlet and I'll have s52 cams and a remap down the line.

0-280-150-415: 18.1 - 190.2 - 136.8 - 50.75 - 3.5 (Green)
0-280-150-792: 23.3 - 244.9 - 176.1 (yellow)

2.8M52 has pink injectors mate

Yeah I heard that before as well but I have neither here.

I'm beginning to wonder do I have a m52b28 at all?

I wonder if you have a M52 B25 (323i engine)

better put some numbers up from the engine block just to check

Edit, looking at the fuel rails on the pics for those 2 sets of injectors you have posted up, neither fuel rail looks the same as mine.

The green injectors in your pic look to be connected to an M50 rail, the yellow *capped* injectors look to be connected to an M52 rail, cant quite make out the colour of these but they do look like purple, if they are 2.8 injectors they will have 4 pintles, they could be recon injectors with different caps fitted

Thats what I'm kinda afraid of now! I can't find the ecu that I got with the engine but I posted this up some time ago: http://www.e30zone.net/modules.php?name ... &p=1898381

Had noticed the two fuel rails were different to each other as well.

I was given a chassis no with the e36 ecu because I couldn't find it on the ecu. There's a BMW sticker on top is faded and the side says:
Siemens 5wk9 032 d13 and after that 1 429 373 and below DME MS41.0

The chassis no I was given with the ECU does give me a 328 on realoem:

Is it the injector color or cap color that has to be puprple/pink?

Googling the part no on the yellow capped ones I get a few mentioned of s50b32 but that means nothing I guess

Definitely different.

More things to sort/buy for this engine

I just had a root around the touring and under all the rubish I found the injector rail from the engine with, you guess... pink injectors.

Now I need to find out if the wiring loom I got is what it's meant to be, a e36 m52b28 loom + ecu
