Just been to Weston-Super_Mare in my red convertible and the only e30s i saw just happened to be red convertibles! One ignored me but the other flashed his lights.
E30s seem to be the only 20 year old still being used on a regular basis, cant remember the last time I saw an rs turbo, escort cosworth, gt turbo etc.

still see the odd e30 round this way, mate os mine has an escort cossie, another a 550bhp bare shell restored 3 door cosworth beauty thats been 2 years in the making and just got the engine back from a specialist , its not in yet, a chap up the road has got a gt turbo too , portsmouths quite a good city for cars and old school cars, see the off mk4 xr3is and rs turbos about (not any mk3 really) and some older fords
From experience I can tell you the majority of these have many brown holes in... Mmm trade mark fordstuturners wrote:Just been to Weston-Super_Mare in my red convertible and the only e30s i saw just happened to be red convertibles! One ignored me but the other flashed his lights.

It's a political thing we're all red "oop north"
and we all drive tourers to carry the greyhounds and ferret's.

the touring was in the services parked up it was about 5-6 ish as well, heading south, yeah it was just a shock to see so many and apart from the touring all the rest were heading north, so maybe its a northern ting,Talat wrote:What time where you on the M1 since I was driving back to London in my red touring at around 5-6pm.

I stopped off a Toddington on my way back and so it could have been mine :)

funny plate ?
totally disagree, in my opinion brilliant red is a great colour, and calypso is one of the best colours you can get an e30 in.pnd wrote:red was very popular in the eightiessadly; only the zinnober is any good on an e30 imo.

I love my wine red E30 325. I think it's a bit more subtle, but still a nice colour.
it's paint code 224, anyone know what the colours called?
