One of the reasons I gave up the fags was so I could use the excuse "the car is the only thing I spend money on". Yes I like a drink but even going out for the evening now costs a fortune by the time you've sunk 5-6 pints, devoured a curry and got a cab home! I've started driving on nights out now and drinking Coke cos I just can't warrant the cost anymore!

You know it! However, I also got fed up with feeling shite the next day

So now I can say, "I don't smoke, I rarely drink, I'm a good boy that likes his motors!" And just write the cheque. Happy days!

Approx £1700 on paintwork and fighting the rust bug!

got mine for nothing, it was rescued at christmas, spent maybe £250 so far and about another £700 until its roadworthy, then road tax and then next year save for the re-spray. (saving a fortune only labour cost is going to be the welding as mine is not good enough for MOT)
