hello

i have been trying to start my white e30 its turning but not firing up i have changed the fuel pump and tried a different ecu

i found this wire hanging down from where the wires are on the bulkhead ...its brown and white anyone got any idea what its for

Lead is nothing to do with the car not starting.
Do you have sparks and/or fuel pump activity when cranking? These are the first things to check every time!

Car now starts after running wire direct from battery to fuel pump tried linking pins 87 and 30 and nothing happened any suggestions how to cure this

Check fuse 11, and/or hunt for any immobilisers connected in the pump wire.

Fuse 11 was checked sorry should have mentioned that no immobiliser is fitted
