had the car on the road a week now and have too say a 2.8 24v is the way too go in a e30.. :D

I went to see a mate today who breaks m3s in shrewsbury , i went to show him the car etc..... anyway he put it on a snap on diognostic.... 2 faults came up...... 1st one was lamba sensor.... 2nd was knock sensor....

We went for a drive come back and put it back on the diagnostic....this time only the lamba fault came up... but when we revved it the knock sensor fault came up again....

My question is did the knock sensor fault only come on as the lamba could be faulty????? car drives good with power all the way through the rev range and idles spot on.... if the lamba is faulty would it be heavy on fuel or throw black smoke....mine does not throw black smoke but i think it might be bit thirsty.... full tank gave me 260 miles mixed driving ....good or bad?????

comments will be appreciated

Hello mate :D

Worth changing the knock sensors anyway, is it the same lambda that comes up? If so change that also
250-300 miles per 63 litre tank full for mixed driving id say
