neither are nothing to do with me!

So who is this rather attractive chap?

Image

Yes that gobsh1te B7, came over for some cruise control retro fitting action under my watchful eye! See his car really is on the road!

Image
WTF is that parked on that drivebehind?! A cream pie?

so we went for a few pictures

Image

K a brief low down, its nothing to do with me, wasn't my idea, i didn't influence this purchase! This is my bro in laws car. He bought it off a guy called adam who painted a certain 2 door in my garage.

so 325i auto switchable cab. blue leather, 13 Obc, Lsd, cruise, m-tech suspesnion and steering wheel. Ordered new in UK RHD spec at a german dealer. some where along the line the full M-tech 1 kit was fitted. oh and a rather low 66,000 miles on the clock :o and it shows.

So a bit of a contrast to trevors car in a way but very similar in alot of others, heres what we came up with

i'll leave this to the owners but seemeda uniquish chance having them here at the same time!

So the question? to kit or not to kit? not an eyebrow, lowering spring or bk rim in sight

I much prefer Trev's from the front, although it looks a little naked from the rear.

The Rear Head Rests make a huge difference as well.

Both truly stunning pieces of art. One day I'd aspire my car to look like these fine examples.

If you showed me the chromie, i'd have loved it, but I actually really like that tech-1, even with the rear spoiler!! Just works on that car!!!

Hey. Nice shot of my aRSe Bert :D

We only took these round the corner to shoot them and we good admiring looks just doing that :D

I'm well pleased with those photos. GUE is a stunning car. It was good to finally get mine next to an identical (bar the kit) orginal unmolested car to compare. Hopefully it'll be the start of quite a few meets together. White with Indigo really works on these.

Thanks for all the comments as well

To kit or not to kit? A little secret. I've actually sold my jimmy hill 325i front lip on to another as when I fitted it up, I thought it made the cab look too heavy down below. I love the pureness of the metal bumper cars and mine WILL be stying as it is. As above really, They can look a little naked from the rear and I agree the Tech 1 rear skirt works. But for me, unkitted works overall.

Cheers Si. good work. (Which were the shots I took????)

I like your 'naked' rear Trev.. I actually prefer it to the kitted rear! Really clean lines.

Both cars look fantastic, it's just the chromie is so elegant & pure, not so "heavy" looking.

Having said that, an M-tech 1 saloon wins every time over a standard saloon.

Trevs cab get's my vote. When i was looking for a cab a few years ago i really wanted one with a Tech1 kit fitted but ended up with a naked black chromie cab, somehow plain and simple works best overall for me with cabs, kinda tempted by another for the summer after seeing these pics

Standard chromies FTW, especially as the body is in such good condition

I have the same feeling towards putting a jimmy hill on mine

Just ordered "dealer" plates for B7 but I'm still undecided about that f*cking number plate plinth! Sometimes i look at it and think "it's coming off", and then I look at these shots and think, "it loots the shizzle!" :?

Whens Rob coming on here Si???

Definitely unkitted. IMO kitted cabs always look a little counsil.

I think a white tech 1 kitted 2dr saloon with shadow line trim looks cool.

Shame they never did white tech 1 sports.
