I've often looked at the Mondial and thought what great val;ue they are. Even the full convertibles are reasonably priced.
Tell you what an' all, I'd "destroy" that Doris standing by it.

Agree Andy. If you can get passed the debatable looks (which I actually quite like) you are basically getting a 308 GTB for a lot less dough. And we all know what nutters will pay for them!!!

308GTB's are not dear cars as such. Sort through the chaff and you'll buy a nice one for £25'000 - which they are worth for the looks alone. They are an appreciating classic, and they won't be 25 grand forever. As Ferraris get ever uglier and the image sinks further, they will be recognised as the last of the really good looking Pininfarina cars and could well be 50-60 grand before very long.
The trouble with a Mondial is that it's both odd looking (and not in a good way), not very quick (a £4000 M3 will sort one out) and not cool in the way a 400i is. They're just a bit naff, the 924 of Ferraris.
Still, it's 7 grand, a cheap way to buy a Ferrari tax disc if that's what you want.

I like the Mondial, and for 7 grand I'd sooner have that sat on my drive than a 7 grand Brum Sport 325i.

X5 V8 for thrills, CRV for chills, Range Rover P38 V8 for sooooo much aggravation...
