seeing as i am going to be unbelievably hard up soon i just bought the turd back off the ex bird for a decent price and want to tidy up a few things that have been bugging me since i bought the thing two years ago.

first thing is the alarm. it has what i believe is the 3G alarm, black fob with one corner angled off and one red, one grey button. question is- is there any way to stop it beeping when you open or close it using the fob? it seems to beep at its full alarm volume which i find very intrusive and the neighbours are probably secretly pissed off with it too as i regularly get back home after they are long in their beds. even around town when i operate it i usually get folk looking round to see what is going on. i don't believe it is faulty, just annoying. anyone got a way to remove or quieten it a bit?

3G alarm is fairly user friendly. Mine has the 3t.... Which is not. The answers are on bimmerforums just need to sign up. I did, but never got the confirmation email through.

this is annoying, i remember i used to have an early A4 that when you locked it with the key (no remote locking) the horn gave a chirp and there was no way round it - was infuriating!!!
