Yeah it is tight, my mrs E36 looks impossible to refill without removing the airbox and potentially other parts

If you are still using the setup with the braided pipe Mick, just cut down the rubber return hose and it will fit to the reservoir mounted on the left side engine mount

Does the PS system require any bleeding to speak of? or is it no problem due to the constant circulation?

I'm sort of wondering about topping this up after I've started the engine for the first time, hope it's not too much of a prob. Airbox removal is fairly trivial I guess.

no, just fill the reservoir and put the cap on, start the engine and give it a couple of lock to lock turns of the wheel, system bled. Check the fluid level again and add any additional fluid needed. Job jobbed

Its not a problem at all, just think how often do you need to top up the PAS fluid?

Gudgeon get yourself down the local breakers yard, 36's are 2 a penny at the minute they are at that stage of their lives.

They also had an E34, might look at that too.

Although to be honest I can easily fabricate a bracket to fit between the E36 mount and the E30 reservoir. That sort of thing is a piece of pi55 after you've welded all the holes in the surrounding E30 metalwork

4 pot isn't the same IIRC but yeah, I am in the same boat with the welding etc....

Well I just checked on Realoem and a number of different part numbers for brackets seem to be listed. I guess it would be fairly clear at the scrappy. In fact at the moment I could even take the mount arm with me for reference

Oh! and something about the girl in the hat with the enema tube has really been distracting me from work today.

You can also use an E39 bracket which is mounted on the oil filter housing, think you need to redrill the hole though
