andys point may sound stupid but that seriously is proably the answer
i was recently getting 180 miles out of 30 quid. i replaced AFM, temp sensor, a lot of fuel lines and checked tyre pressures baically every day and still no change
i strated to use the economy gauge more. i do still floor it but when you are crusing if you aim for 2600 revs in fourth or fifth you can easily get 50 mpg, and on strethes of long road if u have an OBC watch the miles in your tank rise
i stil only manage abouit 210 out of 30 wuid but it definatly helps to be more gentle. remmeber the more u put ur foot fdown the more fuel u use, so jus be easy on the poor thing
unless its wet

Apart from making sure the engine is in fine fettle and not been messed about with I can't think of anything else, are your brakes binding at all.
My 2.7 will do 35mpg (actual not OBC readout) if I take the bones out of my right foot
seriously though it can do 35 if I stick to the speed limits and accelerate gently, it's hard to do though

im not saying that i dont floor it for the fun of it!! i dont. it's an auto and it gets driven carefully and to the speed limits and i watch the econ guage so it's not lead foot syndrome.

hmmm
maybe you need to get replcacing the usual suspects then like AFM and sensors
also throttle position sensor often gets forgotten
have u had the car on an emissions tester to see what the output is?
any modifications we hsould know about>

Mine also burns lots of fuel, but noted that the reason is a packed boot and the need for oil change... maybe is time for your oil to be changed too...

e30beast,
I moved your first thread about your wheels for sale into the correct area (Parts for Sale). I then locked your 2nd thread about them, as I had already pointed out to you why they were moved in the first place.
Since then I've had to delete 3 more of the exact same threads in General Chat about your wheels, I have issued you your first warning by PM. Please take note of this.
