Following a number of threads regarding original dealer plates, tax disc holders etc, it seems to make sense for us to build up a database of any original E30 car signage that can be used as a reference point for people wanting to re-instate this element of OEM gayness :D

Let me start with plate details from Sandal Bayern Wakefield;

Essex is a big county. Any idea where in Essex?

Edit: thinking about this, I should soon have access to my 1986 - ish dated BMW Road Atlas of the UK, which I am sure has the dealer network listed. I shall post up the list if I'm right in thinking what I do.

Fi, if you come across your 1986 - ish dated BMW Road Atlas, could
you have a look for a dealers called Firstfront. Think they were based in Wimbledon, tried a google search but details are very sketchy to say the least.
Barry, Si, your sort of down that way , any info on them would be appreciated, ie when they
first opened etc.

First front were in Wimbledon and Kennigton South west London.

Wimbledon branch became Cooper which shut down a couple of years ago.

Kennington branch was bought by BMW UK and became Park lane and they shut the site down and opened two new sites at Nine Elms and Battersea.

I think i have some service receipts from First front Kennigton from a chromie i fragged.

Cheers Barry, had a feeling you would know about them :thumb:
Sort of a dead end though really, unless the plates on mine are original, which i very much doubt.
As a matter of interest, when did the yellow rear plates come into play ?

My chromie's original dealer plates, window sticker & tax disk holder from Whitehouse, Ruxley.

I even had the business card from the dealer that originally sold it.

Cheers, Rob. Dialling code 01 was split into 071 and 081 in May 1990, so although not original on your car, it may be perfect for someone.

Google tells me that 071 became 0171 in April 1995.

Google told me the first fact, too. I'm not some kind of dialling code nerd winkeye
