Any one used one of these on their e30? I know they aren't going to be as good quality as the real thing, but just wondered if anyone has had any experience of using one? Something like this: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... K:MEWAX:IT
I remember reading on here somewhere that if the wheel is too small in diameter then it makes it hard to read the dials? The one I linked to it 350mm, and has a dish of 2.5"

I bought one of the rally design RMD wheels, which was approximately £50. The quality is comparable to the £110 sparco wheel I have on my track car.
I personally would recommend the rally design wheel.

My friend has this exactly wheel on his mx5 project, can't say i've driven using it as it's currently undergoing a total revamp. But generally sitting there and just playing with it like a kid on the stairs with a plate, it felt nice and the quality was really good. I'd love one but to be honest not really the look i'm going for on my e30

Thanks for all the replies, I'll take a look at the rally design one too. I know the ideal way would be to get a genuine OMP/momo wheel, but I can't justify spending £100+, and then more for the boss on something that's only going to be driven a few times a month!
My mate has got one fitted to his E30 M3 track car and to be totaly honest its no better or worse than my original OMP wheel and I have done a few miles in his car driving.
The only difference I found was I paid £158. for my wheel and he payed £49.
