I have heard (only heard not my own experience) they go off far too quickly.

I have heard good things about yoko A048's. Medium compound for most uk tracks. Really good grip and not as prone to getting hot.

This is feedback after a friend bought 4 off me. He has tried everything on the market and said these are the best so far.

888 used to be the best value as they where about 50% the cost of Yoko's, or Dunlops, The other tyres listed are not up there with the 888's on grip.

If you have the money A048 or Dunlop Drizza, then 888 and possibly the new maxis tyre. I would only put 888 on a road/track day car if you have a spare set of rims for track use cheaper than running them on the road and they are a bit scary in the wet especially on cobbled streets

I run A048's on the m3 can you get them at a decent price Dezzy as 225/45/16 are about £250 each
