Mine are pretty cool - Coopers of Park Lane (don't you know!)

Of topic - Just clay barred the car using Megs stuff and followed it up with AutoGlym HD Wax - Overjoyed by the way the paintwork looks now - I was utterly amazed by the amount of sh*t that came off whilst claying - If you have never done this before I'd thoroughly recommend it. Very hard work but definitely worth it.

Thread revival !
I have a dilemma - first owners of my turd were BMW Bracknell HQ who had it for about a Year before it went to its first private owner who bought it from Williams BMW in Manchester.
It was later sold by Blue Bell BMW in Wilmslow ( Still wears the rear plate and tax disc holder ) - I'm quite tempted to get some of these made up as well as my first E30 came from there.
So Does anyone have any pics of "dealer" plates that would have been fitted to BMW "Fleet" cars circa early 1988 ? - if not Williams Manchester plates circa mid '89 would be good.
I have some earlier Blue Bell plates ( '85 ) from my first turd and can use the rear as a template for those I guess.

Would be good if there was a plate with 'BMW HQ' for yours Rob
I didnt get anywhere with the above company, the mock up plate they emailed me was a poor replica and when I asked them to make it better before buying they never got back to me....

Maybe im being fussy but its just not 80's enough to go on the car IMO, I really need some new plates!

We should collect photos of any original dealer plates and get them on the WIKI. Mine has a Wakefield dealer plate front and back which I assume is original
If it ain't broke, fix it till it is

No. Actually the car came from Quadrofoglio's.GC318 wrote:Trev, wouldn't it be CRONK plates? that's what it was before it became VINESB7 wrote:Still looking for some Vines plates. Anyone????
But I want the OEM look. I'm never going to get a Cronks tax disc holder or keyring. Also Cronks were never in Crawley / Guildford. That was always Vines group. Cronks were Coulsdon and Redhill until Mr Cronk sold out.
Vines plates etc is an easy win.

Excellent Simon. I think they are slightly later than I would like but they are close enough.
I'll request them like that but with 0293 611117 (i.e. dropping the 1 from the dialing code.
Thanks mate, Appreciate it.

I have seen some old vines ones and the lettering is thicker.

Mine was a Bracknell car too apparently - so these probably date from 1992?

Right. Here's what Dealer plates has come back with off the back of the what Simon supplied for me.
Originals:

The mock up with modded phone number (I believe the "1" in the dialling code was introduced in '95):

Barry has also sourced what we believe to be a late 80's Vines plate in this

But I actually prefer the first one with the roundell offset to the right. And considering that original is on a H '90 plate says to me that style was available when these were still in the dealer networks. So the orders going in today!
