Hello Lads. Quick question. How are sports seats mounted? Are they height adjustable like the comfort seats? Is there a special BMW mounting base which bolts to the standard recaro runners, (which turn down 90degrees and have the 3 bolt holes)? Can't find any E30 sports seats down here, but have found a good set of LS Recaros with the adjustable under thigh supports which I'd like to fit, if I can make them look like they were meant to be there.
No decision is incorrect when made - but it does become apparent in retrospect...

I've seen adaptor plates for the LS' on one of the US sites. One thing I miss with the Ls' is you can't tilt the seats as you can with the sport seats :( Can't really answer your question properly though

It's the the guy on this thread that does them. He does a set that bolts on to your E30 sliders or for 2" of additional headroom you can get his floor mounts too (no front/rear sliding adjustment though). I've just ordered a set for my electric LS's with the floor mounts and it comes to around £250 with the shipping.

Not cheap but they do look very factory fit.

funnily enough ive just having 8 of these plates water cut and bent for me and beardy matt out of 3mm mild steel to fit with our SR seats although mine dont have the same mounting as the LS (if thats whats pictured).

Both of us like the seats but wanted to have a bit more tilt back on the seat to support under your leg :D

Looks like they will end up around £80 to do a driver and passenger seat (4 plates per car)
