Anyone attempted or sucessfully done a carb conversion for the 325i - just thinking of the old webber twin chokes :) think the noise would be kinda nice on a 2.5 straight 6!

Also would kill that annoying injector noise stone dead :)

and iv never seen 3, 45's on an M20 engine, only on the 4 pots

May be something for the future, Definatly worth a thought...

I have the problem that its my daily driver so can't afford for it to sit around while I puzzle over air/fuel mixes!

Easyer to wait until someone else does it first! (then copy)
cheers

Dont some of the guys who race in the Kumho series run carbs on their M20s?

Might be worth a post in the Motorsport section and try to get hold of one of them.

Carbs sound great, but injection is the way to go for a daily driver road car. Throttle bodies allow the best of both worlds.

Yeah - after some research, Ive gone off the idea a bit, some of the fuel consumption figures look scary..

Still would like to do sometime - but maybe shelf that idea a bit until I dont have to comute 70 mile each day!
