Nice work Mick,
bet your looking forward to driving this down the road after all that blood, sweat and cash spent, :D

Mine was great fun but with a 3.73 and dirty six box it was on the redline at 120mph :( what box are you using ?

not sure on the box mick, whats the final drive ratio ?
your slipper is a 3.64 ? that should give you a bit more..

Jimmy dusted me in his Tech 1 at high speed when we were on a private road.....He constantly reminds me,

he seems to have forgotten losing at every set of lights ect... :D

Cook318IS wrote:i never maxed it out mick, i think the theoretical top speed is something like 145-150 but it might be worth double checking with an online gear ratio calculator.

the 3.64 wasn't half bad at all, a good diff for decent acceleration and a top speed.

got a job out of the way today i've been putting off as i've really not fancied doing it but had to,

fit the electric fan loom, with the help of the plug and play Geordie proof instructions i think i've done it right :D

blue relay is the one i used for the pic,

Image

smaller loom is the one into the fuse-box unused grommet hole
Image

test fit rad with fan fitted.
Image
Image

also adjusted the brake pedal bar and got the pin fitted joining it to the servo
:D :D .

i just have to fit the engine loom and get the Donk in the bay now i've ran out of reasons/excuses not to.

i wish craig would hurry up and get his car running,he's holding me up winkeye

Yeah you should have had to connect upto 2 different relay locations, think it was Pin 3 and Pin 18 from memory but that may not be correct.

A relay needs to go in both spots mate

time for some auto-electrickery. and a quick swat up on the link provided by Lee 8)

http://www.e30zone.net/modules.php?name ... 12#1990612

i think these two wires are for the ews so not needed ?
Image

not sure what the wire taped to the loom is ??^^^ it's not connected to anything so it's getting left alone.

looking clean in there and that water pipe is about to be cut and blanked.
Image

spaghetti
Image

does this pair of brown,brown/yellow go to the battery earth?[top right]
Image

had to reclaim x2 thick red live cables and refit with new loom.
Image

previous owner loom bodgery.
Image

i got stuck here and plugged the tps plug in until later on when i found never had a plug left for the TPS.

so i take it this thing isn't used on the sump??

Image

i've used this,what is it ?

Image

i only had one plug with a single wire so it went here,
Image

took the water pump out to check if it had a metal or placca impeller and found it was full of breeding crystals
:?

Image

Image

cleaned it all up and re fitted it,i'll do a coolant flush before i add the anti-freeze.

end of play and it's ready to fit

Image

next week it runs :D :D :D :D :D Hopefully :?

oh i have a green label and a brown label ecu what one do i stick the chip in ?

The two wires on the ecu plug end of the loom are for early chromie rev counter. Not needed in yours mate. Snip and tape ftw.

Oil level sender, ignore it as there is nothing in that loom or your car to connect it to

The grey wire is for the engine fault light, wire it up if you want to

cheers for that Dan :)

I'm tempted to wire that grey one up to a red light and put it in a blank on the heater vac but the coont will probs light up first start
