But this one is for myself!

It's a 328i SE touring, on a T plate 99, 78k on the clock with FBMWSH, loads of receipts, and all the nice options! Paid a very good price too, and I'm very happy with the car. Some nicer wheels and I'll be happy!

Lovely Si, I really like E36 tourings, almost as much as E39 ones :D

Is this replacing the M3 or the other Touring ?

Cheers guys. Rog, no caravans I'm afraid!

Jonb, you are right, I miss the musty and worn E30 interior, and also the power of the M20 320i.

This one is unfortunately replacing the M3.

I could have sworn I kept this thread updated...

Not long after buying the car, I replaced the wheels. Fitted some Rondell 58's..
Image

All in, it's been a very reliable car, now on 96k.

The only item that has failed me is the front brake calipers. Both were replaced with new.

About a year ago I had a bit of a fright while checking the oil, quite a bit of mayo under the oilcap, I removed the circulation valve CCV (think it's called something like that!) the breather hoses that go from it, and the rocker cover to remove the gunk that had built up, lot's of short journeys probably haven't helped..

Also, done some upgrading to the rear end..

Spot the difference between the first pic and the second..crappy camera phone sorry!

Image

Image

Fitted some LED number plate lights, and astra rear wiper.

Can see the wiper better in this pic..

Image

Also fitted some phillips blue vision side light bulbs, though crappy camera makes it look like main beam is on!

Also fitted 4300k HID kit..

Image

Painted up the tailpipe trims..

Image

Image

Fitted a M3 lip spoiler, and painted the grill black..

Image

New Eibach touring specific springs with new pads..

Image

..and bilstein B4's to go with them..

Any E36 owners, get your front wheels off and the arch liner, and clean out all the crud from behind.

This is what I found behind mine..

Lovely..

Nice touring! All good work though personally I wouldn't black the grill, everything else

Have you done the engine mods to having it running like a 330i?

I have an M50 manifold in the garage, never got around to doing it!!

After reading a post on E36coupe forum, and seeing the rust that was behind the skirts, I promptly removed mine...

Phew!

Also any E36 owners with missing jacking pads, get them replaced asap.
