Ive had this for over a week now and its full of lovely goodies, abs ,traction control, air-con (it works.) 16" wheels and all the rest.

It`s a 318 Ti Sport Edition
It came out of the factory as a "Sport Edition " not sport, with individual paint as well and is the most beautiful colour I have ever seen especially with the kit fitted on.

It handles like a bloody go-kart and gives my e34 525 a run for her money.lol What a belting engine and box.

The old girl is still on the drive ,,,,,,,I really dont want her to go but who knows ?

Being an individual whats the interior like :)

Yes they do handle well, they feel very planted and can be chucked anywhere without a fuss.
Mines on a 40mm drop, bilstein shocks, 225 tyres up front and 255 rears.

You will want to make it faster soon :)

The interior is like a fancey blue cloth with black sueade sides. It needs a bloody good clean and the drivers bolster has a tear on it but all this may change winkeye

I have 225/50/16`s all round and my other bimmers feel like a range-rover compared.
As for making it quicker ?my eyes are too old for that winkeye .

This is a 1999 and the build quality is far better than the early e36`s but the stigma still hangs around hence they are a very good purchase.

Spot on. My S reg 318ti Sport is great too. I was blown away by the build quality after all the Compact horror stories, and the handling on a 40mm drop is just unbelievable.

It's like an E30 318is but with all the best attributes of an E36 (soundproofing, quicker steering, traction control, safety...). And it's practical, too.

As for the speed - it's quick enough to be fun, but hard work after stepping out of a six-cylinder car.

Mine doesn't have the M-Tech bumpers, just ordinary colour coded ones and a plain grey cloth interior. It's Hellrot. I parked next to one exactly like yours in ATS Saffron Walden the other day. Don't suppose it was yours, Mart?

Is that Avus blue ? I had a 1998 318ti M-sport before I got the e30 325. It had black sports leather and looked exactly the same as yours.

I`ve just had a look and this is what it say`s..

"BMW individual Fg Nr ar76325
aegaeischblau metalic
336/5
Fueller Schwarz
Technic/Ausstattung"

Now you are as wise as me :D :D

All I can say again is that it is the most wonderful colour I have come across and really suits the car.

Shed some light on the description if you all can please.

I dont know mate, its the first and only compact I have been in but Id be tempted to buy a "ready made" one they are relatively cheap and quite a few around.

the sport seats are a lot nicer then the standard ones too, but really it's just a branding / image thing, all the sport bits are easy to swap onto a normal one.
cheers,

Im a big / large/ fat bloke and my sports seats in the e30 are too small for me but the e36 seats are superb giving really good support.

Image thing on one side, I would not like to have to trace and fit and paint the body kit to a standard compact as it may not be cost effective.
I still belive it will be cheaper to buy the "real thing".

I'm not saying it wouldn't be, it was more to point out that a standard car is still a decent motor and the bits that make a sport that bit more special can be added as and when you wished if you wanted to.

Kind of like the e30 325i sport, its the real deal, but you pay a premium for it, you can add the bits to bring a normal 325 to sport spec and it'll be every bit as good to drive but it'll never be a proper sport.
cheers,

harry
