Had some parts powder coated in silver for my 3.5 e12 engine but the rocker cover came back a bit pitted in places and looks crap basically. Guy who did it made a fair enough job of the inlet manifolds and stat housing but he said that the cover was corroded in places ( i couldn't see it ) and this caused air bubbles to form on the top of the powder coat.
So do I try another powder coating place or what else is avaliable ? I am thinking chromed is too bling ? yes or no , not sure about that black painted ruffled look either .
Suggestions please including a good powder coating place for the rocker cover ( Kent/SE London or Essex ) or any other ideas.
thanks Paul

i think people forget how good a fresh wrinkle finished cover looks, we're so used to seeing grubby / flaking ones.
ive messed around with coloured ones on a few cars over the years but they never really look quite right and i think these days i'd stick with the good old oem finish.
