How do you know you were doing 120? :)

Its not like its a race where you need 100% concentration, takes less than a second to eye the gauge up mid corner. Passengers come in handy for stuff like this :D

All good points - what would bother me more are the surges in pressure that can happen that the gauge will never pick up - most sensors only operate at a low sampling frequency so harmful fluctuations aren't always picked up...

Go for a baffle and concentrate on your lines without worry!!

I thought you would have jumped at the chance to pull the engine out of your own car again just for the craic :D

My M52 is at home on a stand at the moment so maybe some night next week or the following weekend I'll have a look at whats needed. Must finish fragging the M5 this weekend so I can weigh in a few shells that have been gathering up around the place... although must go to a 21st tomorrow night too so Saturday may well be wrote off already :o:

Okay guys. I ended up biting the bullet and buying a VAC Motorsport baffle. I'm going to take some photos and measurements as it looks very simple and in no way worth the £220 it ended up costing with import duty. We might be able to get someone to copy it! Its being fitted on the 17th so will post news of how it goes after.

Sorry peeps, it's been manic and I havent been on here much.

It has been fitted and was a right pain, it seemed to fit okay and didn't look like it fouled anything but after fitting there was a whine which turned out to be the oil pump chain rubbing so a chunk had to be notched out of the baffle. I have got pics and will post later when I get access to the pc.
