manifold ?

hi any people got any pics of what they have done with the exhaust manifolds 2 make them fit thanks

Cut an inch off the back 3 plenims and weld back to the back plate. Can't put a pic up at the mo sorry as I'm on my phone.

Tip- use m52 manifolds as they are tubular stainless, and have them tig welded back together mate!! I bought a modded 1 off someone who mig welded it, its now started to blow so I have to source another one

I had my exhaust made from the manifolds in a custom place, the exhaust itself is awsome but the downpipe off the back bank is a pure work of art!! I will post up some pics tomorow

You need to be handy with the MIG and die grinder to do these properly, the flange is mild steel and much thicker than the stainless tubes so its very difficult to weld to it properly, mine are welded inside and out and smoothed on the inside after, will get a pic of the inside later.

Mine however were F'in shite! The welds were like bird shit and I knew they wouldn't last long. I've got a nice set of ported stainles manis coming off the net which I will take to the custom place so they can do them as good as they did the rest of my system

a) create clearance in bay
b) bolt up to the m3 exhaust

I used an M3 system on my track car and fitted it the same way, just different downpipes



Manifolds are modded in the same way, just weld the bends to the flange.

Same as myself, have a M3 scorpion system that I want to use. Was looking at the lot earlier and thought how does I get the flanged on the m3 system to bolt up to the manifold.

How do you get the slightly larger diameter ends on the pipe and did you get the flange made up? I have to source some stainless pipe somewhere, did you bend the pipe or buy bent pieces?

I probably can't afford it but how much do you sell the above for Dan?

What pipe wall thickness is used for the manifolds? I can get 1.5mm no problem in 50mm diameter pipe but nothing else really apart from 3mm.

Its about 1.5mm
The 'tails' of the manifolds are 2 inch tube, if you look closely you can see its a bigger diameter than the normal manifold tube. Its had some grinder/linishing action to blend the welds in which is probably a bit deceiving

I found a place or two that can do me 50mm x 1.5mm straight pipe and also 45deg bends with 1.5D radius, is this enough/to much? I spoke to one place as well that can slot the pipe like you have for the e30 m3 exhaust piece, you wouldn't mind sending me a price for them if you sell them or even just a flange if you have any?

Dont have any flanges, there are 2 different types for E30 M3 also, I cut mine off and old aftermarket M3 x pipe
