My thoughts exactly!E30BeemerLad wrote:If I was you Tony, I would move it on to someone who is willing to take it on as a resto and make a couple of quid for yourself and call it a day.
Starting a resto will just get out of control in the spends dept and it would be a shame to bust it as we are now at the stage where these cars are being recognised as genuine classic material and far too many cars with minor issues have been fragged already, cough Barry, bronzit, cough
Shame on you Barry

Would be a shame to break another Tech 1 Sport, but I think you will decide to weigh it once you get the rear screen out

Great find you got there.
Shame about some of the condition of the car.
I hope you dont break the car its got good history by the sounds of it.
If there was someone who could restore it and get everything in good order would be great to see it become a well sorted Tech1.
Looks nice though got some nice options on it from factory such as the On-Board Computer.

i say pass it on to someone with the time and money to restore it for a small profit and use the funds to splash on the touring

Also agree Tony - pass it on, to nice to break but too much hassle and money to restore.

Its a good plan, all the similar cars parked next to each other in rows, will take a bit of organising but would be well worth it for the pics alonegaszman wrote:maybe at santa pod the tech 1s should have there own spot . ( wait for it )![]()

So, on unplanned circumstances i ended up around ekos today. If i wasn't a penniless 6 pot loser i would have this car tucked up where ever i could find space. I love it! Yes it needs a bit of attention on the areas that he has mentioned, but everything else about it outweighs it.
I happened to have my camera in the car, not the best of shots but moving the fleet of e30s would of been a pain to get it out!

The seats are in awesome condition, the drivers seat looks immaculate.

Its even pretty straight down the sides

That looks to be a very original car. Okay, the arches have seen some plop in the past but where it's rotten you can just see that it's not been got at before. This is a good thing as you are seeing the worse case scenario.
However, I'd be having those side skirts off ASAP. That diamond black tech 1 Si and I broke we knew was rusty but f*ck me! They hit the worse of the horrors by far!
