This is my "new" 325i SE. Original plan was to strip it of bits as it has quite a few, but i think i'll MOT it and drive this instead of the sport! Lazy driving with auto box.

It's got a few options on it that i wanted for my sport!

but!! one being a manual and other auto, your sport wont fell special (same engine), you should have bought something smaller (engine) :( you might actualy hate your sport :( when you jump in it from the auto, you will find it to much work, i have driven auto's, and am sure you and others have, they are so addictive :-x

Pete i've pipped this one off you!

well going through it i'll start with the bad!

indicators wont go out at all even with the key not in the ignition

2 rusty doors
bad rust under battery tray
heated seats not hot enough as they should be!
battery is fooked holds no charge, so won't start
no tax, MOT ran out last week :?
service history is telling me the cambelt has been on for 7 years and 60,00miles! :clin:
it's had a replacement engine at some point and i have no idea on the milege, but the car is on 137k
tow bar bent (silly bitch his wife hit some thing)

good points!

engine sweet, a touch noisey top end, but been sat for 5 months
doesn't smoke
all the electrics work and central locking!
5 good tyres all 15 bbs too
new exhaust
recon Power assisted rack
Drives quite nice too

It's the spec that drew me to it!

from what i can see and work out it has the following deep breath........

4 leccy windows,sunroof,mirrors
check control panel
6 stack cd changer
12 button OBC
rear blind - bloody bulb gone
air con - works and blows cold!
heated seats
cruise control
heated wing mirrors
switcable auto!
front fogs
cloth sports seats with no holes!
and get in an LSD too with no leaks  not sure on ratio. Any guesses?

And all for the monster price of Ԛ£300

shall i strip it?! no way!

Definately is a bargain mate, especially with a slipper.

I reckon maybe it'll be a 3.73!

This Carlton I might be getting has an LSD too! How funny would that be! And it's RWD.

Could these be the new ringtoys?

:? :D

sorry simon :offtopic: but Dave, my dads mate used to drive both carltons and senators through work(traffic cop) yearrs ago, he says they drift like nowt else and go liek stink too whilst still be comfortable.

looks cool simon, what a bargain, once the electrics are sorted and that rust is sorted it'll be fantastic, especially for the price, good find.

paint work aint that special but with a ticket and tax a good car!

My Alpina's should brighten it up a bit, might fit a scorpion centre box i have for a laugh!

And when i get the time all the good options shall be fitted on the sport once i get that in the garage!

i'm loving the auto so i want to get it on the raod asap as i'm putting far too many miles on my sport! 93k now too many!

This car is a bit of a head ache!

Big up demlotcrew who sorted the major problem on this car last nite!

He sorted out the factory alarm which was giving the car electrical gemlins (it's a scorpion). When the alarm was disconnected everything worked. But the car would not start :? But it does now.

BUT again, there gearbox now seems stuck in 3rd gear, it was fine on the drive home when i bought it. So if i cannot sort this out i shall break the bastard proper in a frag fest!

So far though i had replaced all the broken bulbs including the OBC one :x Sourced a newish bimmer battery, cheers boybimmerM3!!!

Had the door lock rebuilt to the only key i have for it. Replaced the rusty dented drivers door, ta jonb!

Changed the windscreen washer valve under bonnet?! was dribbling out the middle all over the engine!

Another new prob is now the wipers? seem very intermittent. Seems to do everything like wipe, but only certain modes, when it feels like it?!

So at the mo i have to sort the above new 2 probs, and the blow or rattle on the zorst up front of the car. Give it a bit of a service. Then bung it in for MOT and see how it goes!

At least all the good bits work, aircon, cruise, heated seats, windows etc plus 5 good tyres on it

Joy isn't it old cars?!

luckily it's not the car in the sig pic, so when i move out i can sneek it to my new house if it;s still got no ticket and tax!

I'm loving the though of an auto executive cruiser with some nice options on it, like keeping my arse warm on the way to work!

Kermit, do a search on wipers - could need a clean.

If you need, I've got 2 spare motors, plus the linkage lying here - Buttplugcrew could take them from me and maybe you can grab them off him ?

OR, as he might have asked you today, I need to pop into shoddy Surrey to pick up a couple of bits - I will be doing that tomorrow.

If you want these bits, give me a bell mate, and I'll bring them along ?
