What polish to use on my car

Right, maybe having some 'nice' snaps of my car pretty soon.

Thing is, I can never really be fucked to scrub my car clean, but this time ill make the exception.

The car is my e30 v8 touring, its red, no idea which colour red, but red!

its also got quite alot of company stickers/vinyls on it too

So basically whats the best stuff to go for to make it look good and shiney? Im no pro so I dont want to use anything thats going to do more damage then shininess

how much of a cut do you need/ are you after.

Remember polish is to remove fine scratches and swirl marks.

Then you need to seal the paint, then wax or glaze.

Are you doing this by hand or DA/ Rotary?

What is your Budget for products?

Timescale?

You get a far superior finish with a DA polisher or Rotary but if you use the right products can get good results by hand if you put the time and effort in.

For an average finish by hand just use Autoglym super resin polish, then apply a liquid wax over the top, Maguars NXT is cheap, or can use collnite paste wax or if you spend more can use Zymol, Zymol make a nice glaze about £60 a tub (their entry point in glazes) but the results are pretty good and durable.

vaseline and baby oil lol


if its being photographed then it wont matter too much, any turd can look good in a picture, but i'd take up powellys offer. he knows his stuff
