Hi all I just registered on to the site last night and think its brilliant anyway I am just about to buy the car of my dreams an e30 M3. The question I have for you folks is what rims will I go for in my opinion there is only two real proper types of rim for this car either the BBS LM in 17" or the 17" BBS split rim that is found on the early 5 series BMW's. Colour doesnt matter either cause I think these cars are stunning in all the standard colours the car comes in plus I will be fitting the sport evo front and rear spoilers if that helps in terms of rim choice anyway awaiting opinions, thanks everyone.

I think Simon has the 8-series splitties fitted to his M3 and they look lush.

Hi mate, welcome to the zone!

Can't beat the Type 5's (as in my sig pic) they're BBS, 17", 8j front and 9j rear.

When you say sport evo spoilers, do you mean the adjustable flap rear and adjustable front splitter? The evo II and cecotto had the extra lip spoiler, but the sport evo didn't have the lip, just the adjustable splitter.

Ah yes simon the wheels you have on your car them or the LM's i love LM's they would give the car a proper DTM look especially with the sport evo spoilers but the BBS's on your car are amazing are your wheels a direct fit or do you need to make them fit ie spacers or anything your cars stunning by the way. Yes its the genuine adjustable sport evo spolilers I will be fitting god knows how am gona find those parts but am not gona stop till av got em!

Hi mate, thanks for the comment, the wheels are a direct fit, I've never had any problems with arch rubbing, and the car is lowered (about 15mm over standard).
The tyre size must be correct though, otherwise you will have problems, I've got 215/40 17 on the front and 245/35 17 on the rear.

As for the spoilers, they rarely show up second hand, and when they do, they go for silly money, best option would be new, and they can be bought from these

Very good people to deal with.

Yes, your card can take a pounding at C3, I've spent Ԛ£593 there this week 8O

The rear flap could be 'blue petered' to the standard spoiler but just wouldn't look right, and it would take something strong to keep it attatched especially at higher speeds with the downforce that would be applied to it. The proper sport evo rear spoiler has a cut out in the spoiler where the flap fits into it properly, there are also multiple holes to enable the flap to slide up and down.

Saw a nice M3 the otherday, dropped, on 16's (or 17's-looks nice and smallish though) Rondell 58 wheels. Looked awesome, the smaller rim made it sit really snug, and they have a deep dish so they are awesome.
