Craigeebee has nitrous fitted to his 325i, along with other mods such as schrick cam etc.\He will have it on a rolling road next week i think. Worth asking him.

however, really for nitrous in my opinion you don't need any mods, just a strong well serviced engine, otherwise it could lunch itself. I am no expert, but I would start with smaller jets, such as 25/50bhp and get it set up and then build up from there.

However, with mods such as performance air filter (K&N panel) and exhaust system will help compliment the N20 install. But the standard internals are strong enough if the engine has been well serviced and has not done inter-galactic mileage.

somebody call me

as beeeemerlad said, you can run nitrous on a standard engine as long as it is running correctly, and is in top condition, there is a rule that you MUST go by which is, half the power of nitrous, to the engine's bhp, so say a stock 325i is 170, you can put up to 85 bhp of nitrous, which is still good, but if you do more mods to the engine the more nitrous you can put in,
and yeah a decient airfilter will help the mixture of the nitrous, when i first put my system on i started low with a 35 shot, then i worked my way up, just to let the engine get used to what it would be getting,
do you have a kit? or are you looking for 1?
if you need any info, just give me a shout, if you are looking for a kit i'll put you on to a guy who can sort you out 8)

nitrous kit's can vary in price it all depend's on what you want it to do and the sort of kit it is,
i.e say you want it to come in when your on full throttle and it's just a single shot kit, (1 point of entry) which you can pick up from around Ԛ£300,
or you could go for the direct port route, which you have 6 points of entry in to your inlet manifold, and you gain more power from it, which could cost you anywhere from Ԛ£500 up to Ԛ£800.
as for how much life is in a bottle all depends on what size bottle you have + the bhp nitrous jets you have in, and the most obvious...... how long you keep the boot in,
as for refills, iv known the price to vary on that aswel, im getting mine for Ԛ£30 for a 10lb but iv known company's to charge as much as Ԛ£50 for a 10lb bottle which is bang out of order it doesn't evan cost that much to produce it :x
anyway,

you can have the nitrous riged up to a controler which allows you to bring it in progessivley through the rev's, or you can have it riged up to a switch  which is what i have, iv got the controlers but i like the kick of the nitrous toooooo much to wire the controlers up,
if anybody want's a kit just let me know

i have just installed nitrous oxide on my 323 and i have started with the 25 shot just to kick things off. i have gone with the cam upgrades and lots of other things but the main thing is that your engine is in tip-top condition and is running like a dream! the more nitrous you pumin in u are recomended to adjust your ignition by a few degrees and use higher rating spark plugs! if you need any more info them feel free to ask!

also im running a tps activated 2 stage controller witch splices into the middle wire of the tps connector. basically it determins when your car is at Wide Open Throttle (WOT) and triggers the nitrous with 50% of the shot. the other 50% is activated throught a simple push button.

How do insurance companies look on nitrous these days? I know there was a time when you just couldn't get covered!

I have to admit, those prices are blimmin good (& tempting!) :D

insurance wise, you only have to be coverd to carry a pressurised bottle which didn't afect my policy ballance, my exess went up by Ԛ£50, which i can live with,
and there's still some silly law, well there's no law realy, they recon it's not ilegal to use it on the road's but nor is it legal :? :wtf:

fek em is what i say!!!!!!! if they wanna do me they'll just have to catch me!

www.mashamoto.co.uk

that's my mates site who sells all the nitrous stuff to sort you all out with what ever you need, if you email him and tell him that i put you on to him, he might knock off the vat :)

have a look at the nitrous kits on there, the coldfusion kit is far more superior to the NOZ system, with the NOZ system all the pipe work is just flimsy plastic stuff, and with the coldfusion it's alll braded baby
