New Notts/Derbyshire BMW meet
Moderator: martauto
An all new BMW meeting! Held on the first Monday of every month at The Elm Tree in Heath, just off the M1 at Junction 29 (A617). The website is http://www.theelmtreeheath.co.uk/
Directions? It’s easy. Come off at J29 of the M1, take the B6175 to North Wingfield. Drive along this road for 1/4 of a mile and take the first turning right. This takes you into Heath, and the Elm Tree is on the right, past two other pubs. It has a nice big car park and Heath is a very small and very nice village.
We’ve used this place for our Xmas dinners and it’s very good - the food is outstanding yet not expensive.
The first thing - if you have an interest in BMW’s, you are welcome to come along. We don’t bite and are definitely not snobby or standoffish. I don’t own a car worth more than a grand! For 14 years we used to meet at the Winsick Arms/Telemere Lodge, but it’s time for a change.
We’re looking to really expand this meet and make it the best BMW monthly meeting in this area - we have a very wide range of German metal from E21’s to E46 CSL’s and we have all different takes on BMW. Some of us do trackdays, some do concours - some do both! Most of us do our own maintenance so if you have a car with an issue, we can point you in the right direction.
In the summer, we used to have a good carpark full - we can only do this if you bring your car along! Please come and join us for a good feed, some very good local brews and nice cars.
Any questions, please PM me or contact Steve Bostock on 07811 722742, and we look forward to seeing some new faces.
Next meeing - May 2nd.

Yup, I think so. Insured it the other day and taxing it next week for 19th meet here in Leicester, then working on it bit by bit. Was gonna have a full respray, but might try and get some quotes for the 2 rear quarter panels instead for now.
Only using it on sunny weekend days and meets from now on. Dont want it out in the rain either so fingers crossed its dry.
Zone member Eeeferteh will be coming along too, although I havent spoke to him yet, he has no choice.
He's new to the zone and e30 ownership but I know he'll come.

My shitbox ain't coming out until April so this may be a possibility for me in the future, work/time off depending of course
Apart from Thorseby nothing really happens around this area so this should be good.

Not sure on Leicester BMW meets to be honest. The one on the 19th is what I have organised on here. First one I have done so hopefully good numbers will show up. Sure there is 15 names down or so at the moment so fingers crossed most turn up.
Will be keeping an eye out for any bmw meets though locally so will give you a heads up if I come across anything.
Just spoke to my mates too, (He lives next door) And he'll be coming to this aswell so count us pair in for sure.
Just to add as well for further publicity...

I'll be at work for this but would be up for further meets assuming i'm free. No BMW on the road at present anyway.
Andy, get yourself down to the Leics meet in a few weeks in your free. Seems to be a few more of the northern monkies getting interested now so might be a decent turnout assuming the weather is kind.

I'll be there as well - it would be rude not to.
Would you like me to promote this on the Yorks & Humber Facebook group?

Might be an idea to start an Faceache group for this particular meeting as well. Whaddya reckon? I'd do it myself but don't know how........
That'll be the Red 323i from Saturday Andy, and the Marina used to be Jim320s, only recently sold it.
