hello everyone,I`m changing the o/s front lower wishbone, it was very hard to get the front bush mounting (I think its called a lollipop) off the old one, I had to hacksaw the wishbone so I could get it in a vise to slowly push the remnants of the "pin" out,I tried it on new arm for fit,and it got stuck! I ended up having to hacksaw through the rubber to get it off  now I need a new " lollipop", I was thinking before I try fitting the new one,am I better to put in boiling water for a bit first ,and putting washing up liquid on the wishbone ,or is there a better way? any advise would be gratefully recieved,it seems that once you fit it you can`t adjust it :x

are you replacing the bushing in the lollypop? you need to get the old bush out. as you have cut the rubber off to get the wishbone out cut through the rubber and the outer steel sleeve of the bush so you can collaps the sleeve away from the lollipop casting. fitting the new lollipop bush is tricky, you will need to press the new one in, a large vice or something, I used a puller in reverse making sure it is square at all times. You then need to get the new bush on the wishbone, BMW supply special lubricant, don't use oil or WD40 or anything. I used washing up liquid with water.

good luck
